This issue's theme is 'Climate and Milieu in Architecture', approached from a standpoint somewhere in between the two polarities of man's relationship with nature: the first, our fearful respect of its power; the second, our striving to understand nature in order to overcome it. The specific focus is on libraries and schools, whereby a rich array of twelve realised projects is discussed in terms of the aforementioned notions, therefore entailing two approaches to architecture.
