The book by architect Chris Thurlbourne is unique. The book's title page contains the expression "an architectural novelette" i.e. a short story. The book can also be viewed as a long prose poem or an architectonic manifest in literary form. The book presents a series of reflections on architecture and is illustrated with Chris Thurlbourne's own pictures and projects. The author is much taken by the very contruction of architecture, by that which in English is called "making" and which is neither wholly creation nor doing.
