L'ESPRIT NOUVEAU. PARIGI-BOLOGNA. "COSTRUCTION AND RECONSTRUCTION OF A PROTOTYPE IN MODERN ARCHITECTURE"

MAMbo in collaboration with the Fondation Le Corbusier and the fundamental support of the region Emilia Romagna, to celebrate the 40th anniversary of the construction of the Pavilion Esprit Nouveau and its reopening to the public after important restorative interventions, reprints the volume which recalls its history: L'Esprit Nouveau. Paris-Bologna. Costruction and reconstruction of a prototype in modern Architecture, curated by Giuliano Gresleri, published for the first time in 1979. The book (MAMbo Edition), thanks to an anastatic reprint is identical to the original one and contains the texts of Filippo Alison, Eugène Claudius-Petit, Giuliano Gresleri, José Oubrerie, Giorgio Trebbi, and the passage "Freedom through order" by Le Corbusier. Moreover, there are many images showing from one side Le Corbusier's projects related to the construction of the Pavilion in Paris (which doesn't exhist anymore) in occasion of the International Exhibition of Modern Decorative Arts in 1925; and on the other side the studies related to the reconstruction in Bologna, in 1977, of its copy by the architects Gresleri and Ouberie.
