This is the first biographiy of Issigoni, whose career spans over forty years of engineering challenge. Andrew Nahum, curator in the Transport Department at London's science Museum, trace this remakable story, from Sir Alec's early work in the 1930s- the era of his Lightweight Special racing car- through the development of the popular Minor, Mini ad its derivates, to his continuing work as a consultant following his retirement from British Leyland/ Austin Rover in the 1970s. The text is accompanied by photographs and illustrations- many from private sources.
