This book, the first of three volumes dedicated to the rehabilitation of the hospital group Necker Children's Hospital, explores the historical aspect of the hospital. It goes on to introduce the new architectural project conceived in 2004 by the architect Philippe Gazeau and the complete restructuring of the site envisaged by the Welfare services. Displayed through an interview between the master of work and architect the book presents the characteristics and issues of this large-scale operation.
