Founded in 1985 Chelpa Ferro explores the plasticity of the sound in sculptures, objects, installations and performances that challenge the senses of the viewer. In the sixth documentary in the Videobrasil Authors Collection series, Carlos Nader portrays the group as it assembled the Totoro sound object at the Sao Paulo Art Gallery. Reflections by the artists and excerpts from previous works, such as Acqua Falsa (2005) presented at the Venice Biennale, reveal the restlessness and sense of humour that underlie their production. Bonus includes footage of eight performances, objects and sound installations from 2005 to 2009.
