Hendrik Petrus Berlage was a prominent Dutch architect. Considered to be the 'father of modern architecture' in The Netherlands, his legacy includes the Amsterdam Commodities Exchange, the Berlage Bridge (Amsterdam), Holland House (London), The Hague Municipal Museum and 'Plan Berlage', his vision for the extension of Amsterdam.
