John Baldessari's artistic investigations of music have almost gone un-noticed. With more than 50 works (paintings, photographs, videos and mixed media) this book illustrates Baldessari's complex relationship with text, image and sound, and uncovers, for the first time, the centrality of music in his úuvre.
