Resumen del libro

Encerrar la exterioridad es el enigmático título del libro en el cual Juan J. Tuset nos habla sobre un tema tan interesante como la idea del jardín doméstico y el modo en que se plasmó en Europa en aquella modernidad apasionante de los años 50.
El autor, un joven arquitecto interesado por el jardín y el paisaje, en particular por las tensas relaciones que en el tiempo se dan entre naturaleza y arquitectura, desarrolló su tesis doctoral sobre este tema comparando la experiencia europea y americana de esos años. Una tesis valiente a partir de la cual nos extrae este ensayo centrado en la Europa ya feliz de la postguerra, cuando la modernidad ha perdido cierta inocencia y la mirada hacia el paisaje, hacia el lugar, son ya una realidad, habiendo pasado a segundo plano la necesidad de evidenciar la ruptura formal de la vanguardia, pero sobre todo habiendo existido un racionalismo crítico capaz de atender a la persona y observar la naturaleza.
