Resumen del libro
Stefano Boeri es uno de los pocos estudios de resonancia internacional que ha sabido vencer las dificultades intrínsecas a la difícil situación que presenta Italia para los estudios de arquitectura y hacer de ellas una virtud. Su trayectoria como arquitecto se ha ido acompañando de un compromiso con la enseñanza, la crítica, la edición, la política y la agitación cultural, y son numerosos los proyectos que ha abordado en estos campos. A ello cabe añadir una abundante obra 'inusualmente fructífera para los parámetros italianos' de edificios públicos y privados, desde edificios de viviendas y oficinas, un centro comercial o un pequeño centro artístico en Milán, hasta obras más paradigmáticas como la remodelación del arsenal de La Maddalena (Cerdeña), las torres de viviendas del Bosque vertical en Milán o el Centre Régional de la Méditerranée de Marsella.
Dos introducciones, de los críticos Alexei Muratov y Bart Lootsma, enmarcan la particular trayectoria de Stefano Boeri en el contexto italiano e internacional, y en la sección 'nexus' se presenta un texto del propio arquitecto y una serie de material gráfico que, a modo de álbum biográfico profesional, resume las actividades complementarias que han ido conformando la trayectoria del arquitecto milanés.
